Awesome Views, Quiet and Peaceful

Reggie P. - December, 2015

This is a great house to rent. We stayed on the upper level and spent much of our time outside on the large porch (veranda) overlooking the ocean, beautiful sunsets. The inside of the house is bigger than it looks in the pictures and is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with charming, tropical views out the window over the sink making dishwashing enjoyable. The two bathrooms are large with ample hot water and the beds are very comfortable. Homer, Kelly's cousin was very helpful as well as Syria, Kelly's cousin who lives next door. Syria and her fiancee picked us up at Paya Bay resort, which is at the other end of the island, and gave us a cool tour on our way to the house. Thanks, you guys are great! We snorkeled on the reef which you can see from the porch. The shallow water right off the beach is difficult to get through with all the grass and soft bottom but a neighbor gave us a great tip of swimming out through the shallow water along the side of a neighboring dock. Here the bottom is sandy, it was much nicer and one doesn't have to worry about trampling on aquatic life. There are windows on all sides of the house so the breezes can flow but if it gets too hot each bedroom has good, quiet air conditioning. We experienced only one rainy afternoon /evening and were surprised by great television service on the large TV. Overall this was a charming house in a real neighborhood Roatan style.

Clean, Comfortable, as Advertised

John S., Danbury, CT - March, 2016

We spent a week in the top unit which is completely separate from downstairs, totally private. Have no concerns about sharing a house, think of it more as a townhouse. The property was clean and as advertised, good for 2-4 people. Both bedrooms were comfortable with well functioning air conditioners while windows provide for an ocean breeze. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bathrooms were large enough with plenty of hot water. Located about half way between Coxen Hole and West End the house really isn't walking distance to anything. There are a few good restaurants within a couple miles and the closest supermarkets are in Coxen Hole (large, preferable) and West End (limited and more expensive). We rented a car but taxis can be hailed from the main road. The house is not isolate, other houses are close by but sound was not a problem. I would stay here again.

A nice, clean, comfortable and cared for home!

Love the Beach, Roseburg, Oregon - December, 2015

We stayed on the second level and the views were just beautiful. The owner Kelly was on top of everything and was great with communication. The property manager, Homer was very attentive to our needs and even had a bottle of wine and a banner made, wishing us a Happy Anniversary! So unexpected and very appreciated. Thank you so much!!

Great place, very relaxing!

Wayne & Diana, Minnesota - November, 2015

Kelly's cousin, Homer, picked us up at the airport and took us to buy groceries when we first arrived. He was a wonderful resource of information and was very helpful with any questions. While at the house we spent mist of our time on the veranda facing the water, and we were right on the water. We gad coffee and breakfast on the veranda in the morning and drinks later in the day watching the sunset. We could snorkel right off the edge of the property after wading through a shallow area of turtle grass. Once when snorkeling in the shallow area (as opposed to wading through it) a large spotted eagle Ray swam by, close enough to touch. We could walk out to the main road to catch a cab to wherever we wanted to go and we were close enough to walk to Anthony's Key Resort to arrange snorkeling excursions or a dolphin swim. We felt safe while there. Very quiet nights, which has not always been our experience in other Central and South American countries. Kelly was wonderful to work with. We would definitely stay again and recommend this to others. This is the perfect place to stay if you were going to stay fir longer periods of time. The place looked like the pictures, the house was clean, and even beach towels were provided. It was a wonderful stay!

Owner who really cares!

Caito, Pittsburgh, PA - April, 2015

I had several email exchanges with the owner over the course of a month trying to plan a trip with my husband and parents. Unfortuantely, we were not able to make it due to a health issue, however, given the excellent communication, attention to detail, and willingness to help that Kelly showed during each of our written exchanges, I have no doubt this would have been reflected in the property itself. My husband and I are avid snorkelers and I had done alot of research into places to stay on the island and can't imagine this location can be beat for price and convenience. We will definitely make new plans to stay there very soon!
